Portfolio of Client Haircuts and Haircolors

A person's outward appearance can have a powerful effect on self-esteem. Perhaps the greatest skill of all for a hairdresser is to match a client's hopes and wishes with what is possible and do it in a  way that enhances the beauty found in every person.

Jay creates a world of possibilities and sees the beauty in everyone.

Connie enjoys the ease of styling with soft curls and her own beautiful silver haircolor.

Jay has created these natural looking curls using an acid permanent wave. This particular wave is into it's third month and has been given new life through a textured haircut and proper diffusing with a blow dryer on soft heat.

Karen Batdorf is an actress currently starring in the hilarious musical, "How to Talk Minnesotan" at the Plymouth Playhouse.

Karen wanted a haircolor that  wouldn't wash out under the glare of stage lighting. After much fine tuning Jay and Karen settled on this warm strawberry blonde. Her soft round layers give maximum flexibility in achieving a wide variety of looks.

Jay’s mom, Donna Lou Gilbertson.

This brand new grandmother and generally busy lady doesn’t take too much time for much hair fussing. Once a month Donna’s color is touched up and  the hair is trimmed. Every 2 months Jay perms the top for easy styling and a little extra height.

Jay is an excellent example of what's possible with hairstyling. If it can be done, he's done it. You can count on a new look on Mr. Jay about every two months.

Here's Jay with his dad and mom. Jay's long hair has been permed and warmed with copper highlights.
